I just had a small thought about the issue of not being able to bring any demon characters in cause it wouldn’t work and it would mess up the happyverse? Well, if Lucifer’s not really causing mayhem could the demons be in a situation similar to the angels on earth, but they’re put there to, instead of actively attacking people, they could be pretty low-key and once they get to a certain age, maybe 16 like when the angels start learning to fly, they start working to kind of corrupt people generally, in small ways? And maybe the demons are all born in a certain place depending on what country they’re in, and they’re raised there until a certain age until they’re like… adopted out or something? I don’t know, I guess it’s just a possibility I thought of because I’d love to see kid!Crowley in your style haha ^_^; And sorry if this should be in ask, I wasn’t sure…
Sorry for late reply >.<
I’m so happy with your message. It’s so gratifying to see someone put some thought into my story (does it count as story even?).
To be honest I’m still stuck on, let’s call it, origin of species. Angels are their own species from the get go. Only difference in happy!verse is that Michael made an option of living on earth available for them. While Demons are just tortured and twisted humans souls. Which is pretty depressing and I try to avoid it in happy verse.
On the other hand my rather weak memory supplies that Tolkien orcs were just tortured and twisted elves and they still counted as their own kind. SO maybe I should screw continuity and suddenly introduce little demons as if they were always there
(just like MLP and of course Twilight Sparkle had a brother all along XD).
(Except I don’t have time and this askblog is pretty much dead as is fantasynatural becuase of work I have no time :S)
But theoretically how could I fit such a spiecies hmmm……
Maybe I could go with super optimistic option that happy!verse god (and general population) are less of assholes than they really are and go with something like that:
If someone dies they either go to heaven or hell
(purgatory is still for monsters that I don’t know if exist in happy verse but since I’m introducing demons it’s safe to say they exist) but in the end everyone go to heaven. Because at least theoretically that’s how mercy works. You give chance to do better.
So say someone is bad person and goes to hell. They pay for their sins there and (since local version of god isn’t a dick) are let back up on surface. They are donned with horns and tail (because I find them fun to draw :>) as a marking of hell and also to show that this is not a new soul and is kind of on probation.
Since people are less of assholes demons are not treated shitty (like they would obviously be if this verse had any resemblance of reality) but with mercy. That means people try to hep them be a better person or at least treat them as any other angel or human being.
Hm. sounds happy enough :3
But now back to Lucifer.
Like in canon he didn’t like that daddy put mud monkeys on pedestal. That’s why he created demons not as punishment for sins but just as outcome of torture. And that fucks up my ideas above. Unless I make two types of demons. Ones that are on probation leave on earth to do better. And monsters like Lilith and Alistair and probably Knights of Hell that are hellbound.
Hm. Maybe some demons don’t want to take probation leave option and stay in hell out of their own free will? That would actually make sense.
Ok I’m going with that option. I like it!
Damn now I made myself excited for this verse again BUT I DON’T HAVE TIME TO DRAW IT >.< BUHUHUHUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU
